Phase I and II have very different demands. Phase I is breadth — speed and accuracy across GA, Reasoning, and Quant. Phase II is depth — conceptual mastery of economics, finance, and management policy. Both matter enormously. Thinkoraa's RBI coaching includes 30+ phase-wise mock tests to track your readiness at every stage.
Phase I — Common to General Track
Phase II — General Stream (ESI + FM)
RBI Assistant — Mains Syllabus
The RBI Grade B and RBI Assistant 2026 cycles have both been notified, with Assistant Prelims/Mains and Grade B Phase I/Phase II now concluded. Interview, Assistant Mains result/LPT, and final result dates below are indicative pending official confirmation. Grade B and Assistant notifications are released separately.
RBI Grade B has stricter eligibility than IBPS — a minimum percentage is required in graduation (60%). The age ceiling is the same but the minimum percentage criterion filters many applicants early. DEPR and DSIM require domain-specific postgraduate degrees.
RBI Grade B and RBI Assistant follow different final selection flows — Grade B adds a scored Interview stage, while Assistant ends in a qualifying language test with no interview. Here's exactly how each post gets from application to appointment.
RBI is consistently ranked among India's best employers for public sector professionals. The compensation, allowances, and non-monetary benefits — subsidized housing, medical cover, pension — are significantly superior to IBPS banks.
