Section-Wise Breakdown.
Confirmed for NMAT 2026 per GMAC's official notification. Unlike SNAP, NMAT has a fixed time limit per section — you can choose the order you attempt sections in, but once a section's clock runs out, you move on automatically.
| Section | Questions | Time Limit | Score Range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Language Skills | 36 | 28 min | 12–120 |
| Quantitative Skills | 36 | 52 min | 12–120 |
| Logical Reasoning | 36 | 40 min | 12–120 |
| Total | 108 | 120 min | 36–360 |
NMAT Marks Needed By B-School Tier (2021–2025).
GMAC does not release an official NMAT percentile — your scorecard only shows scaled marks (36–360 overall, 12–120 per section), and accepting institutes shortlist on that raw score directly. So instead of guessing a percentile, here's the total and section-wise marks typically needed for each B-school tier over the last 5 cycles, compiled from institute cutoff disclosures and coaching-institute trend analysis. Section-wise marks are an even three-way split of the total, since institutes don't publish a sectional breakdown either — treat both as directional, not exact.

Rows marked ✓ have solidly-sourced fee and package figures; the rest are estimates compiled from scattered public data and should be treated as directional, not exact.
