Make Them Count

How to Get the Most From the Free NMAT Mocks and Sectionals

Treat the 2 mocks and 6 sectionals as one loop for NMAT: take a mock to find the weakest of Language, Quant, LR, fix it with that section's two sectionals, then test again.

◎
Use the first mock as a diagnostic
Attempt the first full-length mock early. With three sections of 36 questions each, it shows which of Language, Quant or LR needs the most work.
⚡
Practise inside the fixed time limits
NMAT gives 28 minutes for Language Skills, 52 for Quantitative Skills and 40 for Logical Reasoning. Use the sectionals to practise finishing each section within its own limit.
◆
Decide your section order
NMAT lets you choose the order of sections before starting. Try different orders across your 2 free mocks and see which one suits you.
◇
Fix the weakest section with sectionals
Take the 2 free sectionals for your weakest section first. All three sections carry the same 36 questions, so a weak one costs as much as any other.
●
Re-test after revising
Take the second NMAT mock only after you have revised the weakest of Language, Quant, LR from the first, then compare the two attempts section by section.
Free vs Paid

Free NMAT Mock Tests vs the Full NMAT Test Series

The 8 free NMAT tests are a starting point. For sustained practice across Language, Quant, LR, the paid NMAT test series goes much further.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) – Free NMAT Mock Tests

Are Thinkoraa NMAT mock tests free, and how many can I attempt?+
Some are. You can attempt 2 free full-length NMAT mock tests and 6 free sectional tests — 2 each for Language, Quant, LR. The rest of the NMAT mock and sectional tests are part of the paid NMAT test series and full-course programs.
Do I need to register to attempt the free NMAT mock tests?+
Yes. Free tests are taken on the Thinkoraa student platform, so you need a free student account. Registering is free and does not require payment.
What is the NMAT exam pattern?+
NMAT has 108 questions across three sections — Language Skills (36), Quantitative Skills (36), and Logical Reasoning (36) — in a 120-minute computer-based test with fixed sectional time limits: 28 minutes for Language Skills, 52 minutes for Quantitative Skills, and 40 minutes for Logical Reasoning. Candidates can choose the order of sections before starting.
Can I choose the section order in NMAT?+
Yes. Candidates can choose the order of sections before starting. Each section then runs to its fixed time limit: 28 minutes for Language Skills, 52 for Quantitative Skills and 40 for Logical Reasoning.
Is there negative marking in NMAT?+
No. NMAT has no negative marking for incorrect or unattempted questions. It uses adaptive scaled scoring: each section is scored from 12 to 120 and the total ranges from 36 to 360, rather than a simple count of correct answers.
How many times can I attempt NMAT?+
Up to 3 attempts within the same testing window — one main attempt plus two retakes, with a gap of roughly 15–16 days between attempts. Institutes see and use your highest-scoring attempt, so a weaker attempt never counts against you.
Is a calculator allowed in NMAT?+
NMAT provides an on-screen calculator inside the test interface for the Quantitative Skills section. Physical calculators are not allowed in the test centre.
What is the difference between a full-length mock and a sectional test?+
A full-length mock covers all 3 NMAT sections — Language, Quant, LR — and simulates the whole exam. A sectional test, such as the free Language sectional, covers only Language Skills so you can work on that one area in isolation.
How are the free tests different from the paid NMAT test series?+
The free tests let you experience Thinkoraa's test platform with 2 full-length mocks and 6 sectionals. The paid NMAT test series offers 10 AI-powered all-India mock tests, 30 full-syllabus sectional tests and 250 chapterwise tests, plus performance, accuracy and time analysis and all-India rank and percentile analysis.
Where can I see the NMAT syllabus, dates and eligibility?+
The complete NMAT guide — dates, syllabus, pattern, eligibility and accepting colleges — is on the NMAT 2026 guide.
How do I get access to the full NMAT test series?+
See the test-series section on the NMAT guide for the available plans, or share your details in the form on this page and a Thinkoraa mentor will contact you on WhatsApp.
