Exam Pattern
Two Sections, Fully Adaptive.
The Digital SAT replaced the old 3-hour paper test with a shorter, computer-adaptive format. Each section is split into two modules — your performance on the first module decides how hard the second one is.

No Negative Marking: Every question is worth attempting — there's no penalty for a wrong guess. Because the test is adaptive, a strong first module unlocks harder (and higher-scoring) questions in the second module of each section, so accuracy early on matters more than in a fixed-difficulty test.

How & When To Register.
The SAT runs multiple times a year internationally, with each date having its own registration deadline roughly 4-5 weeks earlier.

Create a College Board Account
Register on the official College Board website, choose your preferred test date and centre from 35+ centres across India, and upload a photograph.
Step 2
Pay the Registration Fee
International registration costs approximately $131 (India regional fee + processing charges included). Fee waivers of up to 90% are available for eligible lower-income students through College Board's India Scholars Program.
Step 3
Set Up Bluebook
Download College Board's Bluebook testing app on your laptop or tablet, complete the exam-readiness check, and familiarise yourself with the interface well before test day.
Test Day
Sit the Exam
Carry your printed admission ticket and a valid photo ID. The test itself runs 2 hours 14 minutes with an optional break between sections.
