Yes. Free tests are taken on the Thinkoraa student platform, so you need a free student account. Registering is free and does not require payment.
What is the IPM Indore exam pattern?+
IPM Indore (IPMAT Indore) has Quantitative Ability (MCQ) — 30 questions, Quantitative Ability (Short Answer) — 15 questions with zero negative marking, and Verbal Ability — 45 MCQs. Each section has a 40-minute sectional limit, for 120 minutes in total. This is based on the 2025/2026 pattern; the official IPMAT 2027 notification has not yet been released.
What is the IPM Indore marking scheme?+
In IPMAT Indore, each correct MCQ gets +4 marks and each wrong MCQ gets -1. The Short Answer section has zero negative marking.
Are calculators allowed in IPM Indore?+
No. IPMAT is a computer-based test that does not permit physical or on-screen calculators, so all Quantitative Ability calculations, including the Short Answer section, must be done manually.
Is IPM Indore different from IPM Rohtak?+

Who is eligible for IPM Indore?+
Candidates must have passed Class 12 (or be appearing in the exam year) in any stream. Reports differ on whether IIM Indore applies a minimum percentage (some say none, others 60% in Class 10 and 12, with 55% for SC/ST/PwD), so confirm it in the official notice. There is typically a maximum age of around 20 years, with a 5-year relaxation for SC/ST/PwD candidates, set by the conducting IIM.
What happens after the IPM Indore score?+
Shortlisted candidates take a Written Ability Test (WAT), a short essay on a given topic, followed by a Personal Interview (PI). IIM Indore describes its process as IPMAT + WAT + PI, with the final decision based on all stages plus your academic record.
Which institutes accept IPM Indore scores?+
IPMAT Indore scores are used by IIM Indore itself and are reported to be accepted by IIM Ranchi, IIM Amritsar and IIM Sirmaur for their programmes. Other institutes join or leave each year, so check the notice of each institute.
What is the difference between a full-length mock and a sectional test?+
A full-length mock covers all 3 IPM Indore sections — QA (MCQ), QA (SA), VA — and simulates the whole exam. A sectional test, such as the free QA (MCQ) sectional, covers only Quantitative Ability (MCQ) so you can work on that one area in isolation.
