Make Them Count

How to Get the Most From the Free JIPMAT Mocks and Sectionals

Treat the 2 mocks and 6 sectionals as one loop for JIPMAT: take a mock to find the weakest of QA, DILR, VARC, fix it with that section's two sectionals, then test again.

◎
Use the first mock as a diagnostic
Attempt the first full-length mock early. With QA, DILR and VARC carrying 33, 33 and 34 questions, it shows which section needs the most work.
⚡
Plan your time across one 150-minute clock
JIPMAT has no sectional time limit, so you decide how long each section gets — roughly a minute and a half per question on average. Use the mocks to test a time plan.
◆
Track the cost of wrong answers
JIPMAT gives +4 for a correct answer and -1 for a wrong one, with no penalty for unattempted questions. Note which wrong attempts cost you marks and where skipping would have been smarter.
◇
Fix the weakest section with sectionals
Use the free sectionals on the section your first mock exposed. VARC is the largest section by marks (136), so a weak VARC costs the most.
●
Re-test after revising
Take the second JIPMAT mock only after you have revised the weakest of QA, DILR, VARC from the first, then compare the two attempts section by section.
Free vs Paid

Free JIPMAT Mock Tests vs the Full JIPMAT Course

The 8 free JIPMAT tests are a starting point. For sustained practice across QA, DILR, VARC, the paid JIPMAT course goes much further.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) – Free JIPMAT Mock Tests

Are Thinkoraa JIPMAT mock tests free, and how many can I attempt?+
Some are. You can attempt 2 free full-length JIPMAT mock tests and 6 free sectional tests — 2 each for QA, DILR, VARC. The rest of the JIPMAT mock and sectional tests are part of the paid JIPMAT course.
Do I need to register to attempt the free JIPMAT mock tests?+
Yes. Free tests are taken on the Thinkoraa student platform, so you need a free student account. Registering is free and does not require payment.
What is the JIPMAT exam pattern?+
JIPMAT has 100 MCQs across three sections — Quantitative Aptitude (33 questions), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (33 questions), and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (34 questions) — for 400 marks in 150 minutes, no sectional time limit.
What is the JIPMAT marking scheme?+
Each correct answer gets +4 marks, each incorrect answer gets -1, and there is no penalty for unattempted questions. Unlike IPMAT Indore, JIPMAT has no Short Answer section — every question is MCQ.
Is JIPMAT the same as IPMAT?+
No. JIPMAT is a separate exam conducted by the National Testing Agency on behalf of IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya, with its own pattern and syllabus. IPMAT is conducted by IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak themselves. See the free IPM Indore mock tests and free IPM Rohtak mock tests.
Do I apply separately to IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya?+
No. JIPMAT uses one common application form: you register once with NTA and your score is considered by both institutes.
How many times can I attempt JIPMAT?+
JIPMAT is held once a year as a single-day, single-session exam, so there is no choice of best score within a cycle. If you do not clear it, you can reapply in a later year as long as you still meet the Class 10 and 12 eligibility window.
Who is eligible for JIPMAT?+
Candidates must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 in any stream, with Class 10 passed within the NTA-specified window, and a minimum 60% aggregate in Class 10 and 12 (55% for SC/ST/PwD).
What is the difference between a full-length mock and a sectional test?+
A full-length mock covers all 3 JIPMAT sections — QA, DILR, VARC — and simulates the whole exam. A sectional test, such as the free QA sectional, covers only Quantitative Aptitude so you can work on that one area in isolation.
How are the free tests different from the paid JIPMAT course?+
The free tests let you experience Thinkoraa's test platform with 2 full-length mocks and 6 sectionals. The 10 JIPMAT mock tests, 30 sectional tests and chapterwise tests are part of Thinkoraa's paid IPMAT + CUET + JIPMAT course, along with classes, mentorship and doubt support. See the course section on the JIPMAT guide for details.
Where can I see the JIPMAT syllabus, dates and eligibility?+
The complete JIPMAT guide — dates, syllabus, pattern, eligibility and accepting colleges — is on the JIPMAT 2027 guide.
How do I get access to the full JIPMAT course?+
See the course section on the JIPMAT guide for the available plans, or share your details in the form on this page and a Thinkoraa mentor will contact you on WhatsApp.
