Make Them Count

How to Get the Most From the Free NPAT Mocks and Sectionals

Treat the 2 mocks and 6 sectionals as one loop for NPAT: take a mock to find the weakest of Quant, Reasoning, English, fix it with that section's two sectionals, then test again.

◎
Use the first mock as a diagnostic
Attempt the first full-length mock early. With three sections of 40 questions each, it shows which of Quant, Reasoning or English needs the most work.
⚡
Build speed for 120 questions in 100 minutes
That is under a minute per question on average. Use the sectionals to practise answering quickly without losing accuracy.
◆
Attempt every question
NPAT has no negative marking, so practise answering every question rather than leaving any blank.
◇
Use the free tests before your first attempt
NPAT allows one main attempt plus up to two retakes, and the highest score is used. Preparing with mocks first means your first attempt starts from a stronger place.
●
Re-test after revising
Take the second NPAT mock only after you have revised the weakest of Quant, Reasoning, English from the first, then compare the two attempts section by section.
Free vs Paid

Free NPAT Mock Tests vs the Full NPAT Test Series

The 8 free NPAT tests are a starting point. For sustained practice across Quant, Reasoning, English, the paid NPAT test series goes much further.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) – Free NPAT Mock Tests

Are Thinkoraa NPAT mock tests free, and how many can I attempt?+
Some are. You can attempt 2 free full-length NPAT mock tests and 6 free sectional tests — 2 each for Quant, Reasoning, English. The rest of the NPAT mock and sectional tests are part of the paid NPAT test series and full-course programs.
Do I need to register to attempt the free NPAT mock tests?+
Yes. Free tests are taken on the Thinkoraa student platform, so you need a free student account. Registering is free and does not require payment.
What is the NPAT exam pattern?+
NPAT has 120 MCQs across three sections — Quantitative & Numerical Ability, Reasoning & General Intelligence, and Proficiency in English Language — in a 100-minute test. Each question carries 1 mark, no negative marking.
What is the NPAT marking scheme?+
Each correct answer gets +1 mark, no negative marking. Candidates get one main attempt plus up to two retakes (3 total), and the highest score is used for the merit list.
Who is eligible for NPAT?+
Candidates must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 in any stream with a minimum 50% aggregate (60% for BBA International Business). The maximum age is 25 years, and the qualifying exam must have been passed in a single attempt.
Is there a group discussion or interview after NPAT?+
For most NPAT programmes, admission is reported to be decided on the NPAT merit list, with no GD round. Some programmes may add a Personal Interview, so check the NMIMS brochure for your programme.
Which NMIMS campuses accept NPAT scores?+
Mainly Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Indore, Dhule and Shirpur, across BBA, BCom (Hons), BSc Finance and Integrated BBA+MBA. The campus list and programmes change by year, so check the NMIMS brochure.
What is the difference between a full-length mock and a sectional test?+
A full-length mock covers all 3 NPAT sections — Quant, Reasoning, English — and simulates the whole exam. A sectional test, such as the free Quant sectional, covers only Quantitative & Numerical Ability so you can work on that one area in isolation.
How are the free tests different from the paid NPAT test series?+
The free tests let you experience Thinkoraa's test platform with 2 full-length mocks and 6 sectionals. The paid NPAT test series offers 10 AI-powered all-India mock tests, 30 sectional tests and 200 chapterwise tests, plus performance, accuracy and time analysis and all-India rank and percentile analysis.
Where can I see the NPAT syllabus, dates and eligibility?+
The complete NPAT guide — dates, syllabus, pattern, eligibility and accepting colleges — is on the NPAT 2027 guide.
How do I get access to the full NPAT test series?+
See the test-series section on the NPAT guide for the available plans, or share your details in the form on this page and a Thinkoraa mentor will contact you on WhatsApp.
