What Is GD-PI
The Round After The Score.
Clearing a BBA entrance test's written cutoff gets you a shortlist call at some institutes — it doesn't always get you a seat outright. A handful of programmes run a further in-person stage to see who you are beyond the number.
Personal Interview (PI)
The most common in-person round for BBA admissions. A panel discusses your academic background, extracurriculars, and "why this programme" — assessing communication, confidence, and genuine interest more than rehearsed answers.
Skill Assessment / Micro Presentation
Used by some institutes, like Christ Entrance, alongside the PI — a short presentation or activity-based round evaluating aptitude and presentation skills beyond a written test.
Group Discussion (GD)
Less common at BBA level than for MBA admissions, but some participating colleges under score-based exams may still run one at their own discretion. Confirm with your specific shortlist call letter.
It's Institute-Specific
Christ Entrance (ET-CU), for example, combines Entrance Test, Skill Assessment, Micro Presentation, and Personal Interview performance to decide the final merit list and campus/programme allotment. IPMAT, JIPMAT, NPAT, and CUET UG are largely score-based, though individual participating colleges can still add their own interview round.

What Panels Actually Ask.
Most BBA PI questions are about how well you know your own story — your academic record, your interests, and why this specific programme makes sense for you.

● Any gaps or dips in your record, explained clearly and honestly
Fit & Motivation
● "Why BBA?" and "Why this college specifically?"

Awareness & Presentation

Most common mistake: Giving generic, rehearsed answers instead of a genuine, specific reason for choosing that college and programme. Panels notice the difference quickly — mock interviews with honest feedback are the fastest way to fix this before the real thing.
