IIM Kozhikode's Bachelor of Management Studies (Honours with Research) is a 4-year, NEP-aligned UG programme at the Kochi campus — not an integrated 5-year IPM. Selection runs through the BMS Aptitude Test, an Aggregate Index Score combining test + academics, and a PI.
Unlike IPMAT or JIPMAT, your test score alone doesn't decide your shortlist.
| Section | Tests | Format |
|---|---|---|
| Verbal Ability | RC, grammar, vocabulary, critical reasoning | MCQ |
| Quantitative Ability | Class 10-12 level maths, DI | MCQ |
| Alternative Route | Valid JEE (Main), SAT, or ACT scores accepted instead | |
Stays close to Class 10-12 level, slightly above IPMAT in logical-application difficulty.
Based on the 2025 and 2026 cohorts — treat dates as forecasts.
Same Class 12 entry point as IPMAT and JIPMAT.
Clearing the BMS AT only gets you into the reckoning — the final call runs on the Aggregate Index Score and a Personal Interview.
Clearing the BMS AT is step one — final admission depends on the combined AIS and PI performance.

Built around the BMS AT's two sections — Verbal Ability and Quantitative Ability — plus the AIS's weight on Class 10-12 academics.
IIMK BMS launched only in 2025 — there is no real 5-year cutoff history yet, unlike IPMAT or JIPMAT.

IIM Kozhikode's Bachelor of Management Studies (Honours with Research) is a 4-year, NEP-2020-aligned undergraduate programme launched in 2025 at the institute's Kochi campus. It is IIM Kozhikode's only undergraduate offering — not a 5-year IPM.
The BMS AT is a computer-based MCQ test with two sections — Verbal Ability and Quantitative Ability. Candidates with a valid JEE (Main), SAT, or ACT score can submit those instead.
Selection uses an Aggregate Index Score (AIS) combining your BMS AT (or JEE/SAT/ACT) score with Class 12 and Class 10 academic performance — not the test score alone. Shortlisted candidates then attend a Personal Interview.
No. IIM Indore and Rohtak offer a 5-year Integrated Programme (IPM) leading to a dual BA+MBA. IIM Kozhikode's BMS is a separate 4-year programme leading to a Bachelor of Management Studies degree — not an integrated MBA.
Passed Class 12 (any stream) or appearing for boards in the admission year. No fixed minimum percentage published, though Class 10 and 12 marks both feed into the AIS.
Annual tuition is approximately ₹7,00,000, for a 4-year tuition total of roughly ₹28 lakh. Including hostel and mess, the total programme cost runs closer to ₹34-36 lakh over 4 years.
IIMK has not published a separate attempt-limit policy for the BMS AT in the way JEE or CAT publish attempt caps. As with most one-shot entrance CBTs, expect a single attempt per admission cycle — always confirm the exact rule in that year's official BMS AT information bulletin on iimk.ac.in.
A separate calculator policy for the BMS AT has not been published. Most Class 10-12-level management entrance CBTs, including IPMAT and JIPMAT, do not permit calculators for the Quantitative Ability section, so it is safest to prepare for on-paper and mental calculation and verify the exact device policy on your admit card.
Since final selection runs on the Aggregate Index Score rather than the test score alone, there is no single "good score" threshold. Broadly, aim well clear of the illustrative percentile benchmarks in the Benchmarks section below, and keep Class 10 and 12 academics strong too, since both feed directly into your AIS.
IIMK has not published a distinct, fixed application-fee figure for BMS in the same visible way as its tuition fee. Expect a nominal non-refundable processing fee, broadly in line with other IIM entrance applications — check the official BMS AT information bulletin on iimk.ac.in for the exact current amount before applying.
Once your BMS AT (or submitted JEE/SAT/ACT score) is in, IIMK computes your Aggregate Index Score and draws up category-wise shortlists. Shortlisted candidates are then called for an in-person Personal Interview across multiple cities, after which a final composite merit list decides admission offers.
Carry your admit card, a valid original photo ID, recent passport-size photographs, and originals plus photocopies of your Class 10 and Class 12 (or provisional) mark sheets. If applying under a reserved category, also carry the relevant category or income certificate, since these typically feed into shortlisting and verification.
